Putin Declares The United States Is Its Principal Adversary!

On Sunday, President Vladimir Putin signed a new navy doctrine that portrayed the United States as Russia’s principal adversary and outlined the country’s nautical aspirations for key regions including the Arctic and the Black Sea.

Speaking on Russia’s Navy Day in the historic imperial capital of St. Petersburg, which Tsar Peter the Strong created, Putin lauded Peter for elevating the stature of the Russian state and making Russia a great naval power.

Putin gave a brief statement after surveying the navy in which he pledged to use what he called Russia’s special Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles while admonishing that Russia has the military might to repel any possible aggressors.

A new 55-page naval doctrine that outlines Russia’s navy’s broad strategic goals, including its aspirations to become a “great maritime force,” which extend throughout the entire planet, was signed by him just before the address.

According to the doctrine, “the strategic policy of the USA to dominate the world’s waters” and the advancement of the NATO military alliance closer to Russia’s borders pose the biggest threats to the country.

The doctrine acknowledges that Russia does not have adequate navy bases across the world and that if other soft powers, such diplomatic and economic tools, are exhausted, Russia may use its military force suitably to the situation in the world’s oceans.

According to the concept, Russia’s top objective was to expand its strategic and naval collaboration with India as well as its broader cooperation with Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and other countries in the area.

The Russian Federation will firmly and courageously defend its national interests in the world’s seas under the guidance of this policy, and possessing sufficient maritime power will ensure their security and protection, according to the declaration.

Despite the military policy calling for a “complete strengthening of Russia’s geopolitical position” in the Black and Azov seas, Putin’s speech made no mention of the crisis in Ukraine.

During the five months of the Ukraine crisis, tensions between Russia and the West have gotten worse.

The doctrine also identifies the Arctic Ocean as a region of special significance for Russia, which the United States has accused it of wanting to militarize.

The Black Sea and the Caspian Sea are also part of Russia’s extensive 37,650 km (23,400 mile) coastline, which runs from the Sea of Japan to the White Sea.

In a few months, according to Putin, the Admiral Gorshkov ship would start receiving Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles. According to him, Russian interests would determine where they would be stationed.

“The Russian navy’s capabilities are crucial in this situation. It has the ability to react swiftly to anyone who chooses to violate our freedom and sovereignty.”

Russia has performed several test launches of the Zircon from warships and submarines over the last year. Hypersonic missiles are capable of traveling at nine times the speed of sound.

Russian-held Sevastopol governor Mikhail Razvozhayev claimed that early on Sunday, Ukrainian forces attacked the Black Sea Fleet headquarters in Crimea, inflicting five staff members with injuries.
