Got The Message? Taiwan Noticeably Absent From Pelosi’s Overseas Tour Schedule

Early on Sunday morning, the office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi released a statement saying that she will be traveling to at least four Asian nations, but Taiwan was noticeably absent from the list.

The Indo-Pacific area is where Pelosi is leading a congressional delegation that will make stops in Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan. According to a press release from her office, the trip’s main focus will be on economic cooperation, democratic governance, and shared security in the Indo-Pacific region.

According to Pelosi’s statement in the release, “America’s Congressional delegation goes to the Indo-Pacific today to reaffirm America’s strong and unwavering commitment to our allies and partners in the region.”

Our delegation will hold high-level meetings in Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan to discuss how we can further advance our shared interests and values, such as peace and security, economic growth and trade, the COVID-19 pandemic, the climate crisis, human rights, and democratic governance. She added that these topics would also be covered in these meetings.

“Under the strong leadership of President Biden, America is firmly committed to smart, strategic engagement in the area, realizing that a free and flourishing Indo-Pacific is important to prosperity in our country and around the world,” Pelosi continued.

Representatives Andy Kim of New Jersey, Gregory Meeks of New York, Mark Takano of California, Suzan DelBene of Washington, Raja Krishnamoorthi of Illinois, and Gregory Meeks of California will all be part of the congressional delegation.

The 3 P’s of a good meeting were conspicuously absent from Pelosi’s trip to Asia. Goals, Personnel, and Process That’s because it’s merely a diversionary ploy and not a worthwhile journey.

Pelosi made her statement after President Joe Biden stated earlier in the month that U.S. military officials think the Speaker of the House visiting Taiwan is “not a good idea.”

Three high-level delegations were despatched to Taiwan by the Trump administration. The US representative to the UN was present at the last one. China did not make a war or an attack threat. Why does our government spend large sums of tax payer money on irrational travels abroad when there is significant inflation and suffering occurring within our own nation? Our domestic problems should be resolved with that money. I’m startled to see how everyone is now being impacted by “Shrinkflation” when I go to the grocery shop. For products like chips, bread, cookies, etc., we are purchasing less stuff in what appears to be the same size bag or container to keep costs down. For produce, we are now paying per UNIT rather than by the POUND (Peppers, onions, lemons, just to name a few of many items). Since we have to visit the store more frequently to get the goods, shrinkflation isn’t saving us any money. In the nearly seven decades I’ve lived, I’ve never seen our nation in such horrible shape, and the Democrats (Biden) don’t appear to want to address the problems they brought about. Instead, they ONLY CARE about green energy (Selling EVs and Solar Panels to all of us). When Americans are fighting to keep a roof over their heads, food to feed our kids, etc., how can anyone (unless you’re wealthy) even afford those 2 things? That is what they (the Democrats) want us to do. Joe Biden claims that there isn’t much inflation and that there isn’t a recession right now. Who is he fooling? The countless lies told by him and his administration are not going to fool the American people.
